No Rules – We all Eat

With the food scene becoming such a popular stage for a hungry audience that has an almost insatiable appetite, there seems to be more and more rules. Which once seemed like every human’s right to their own opinion, has now been placed into a box of either right or wrong. Clearly there are some absolute truths, such as some foods are healthier than others, true! However, when all the fads pass it really comes back to the basic mantra of living well, “everything in moderation”. As much as I believe this, truth be told, I have an inner glutton, who does not like to be told what to do, how to do it, or how much I should consume! My glutton craves freedom from all “shoulds”! Shoulds make me feel guilty and I don’t care for that emotion much, especially when we are talking about food. I prefer the freedom of choice “could”. It empowers me with the fact that I can! I am free to like to eat whatever I want. Now, it so happens that I love to create food that agrees with most people. But when I thought about a blog, I thought “I don’t tell people what they should do or eat, I help them to make their own choices”. It all comes down to this, you’ll know what you like to eat most because you want to eat more of it. Your fork goes there and you are excited about another bite in your mouth. That’s your real answer. Your box doesn’t exist, your fork does and you control that one!!!

    I couldn’t agree more sometimes you can’t say no as long as you eat in moderation you will be fine!!!

    I really believe in your message. We have to stop judging people on what they eat. Do what you want enjoy! Don’t eat food that doesn’t completely satsfy you. To eat just to eat is not worth it.

    Thank goodness for no rules. You have freed me from guilt!! I actually eat healthier knowing that I can indulge guilt free when I need to!!
