There are individuals in this world who chose to stop hearing a conversation that does not agree with them.  When this happens and you are the one speaking, it is confusing and offensive.  You’re not sure if you should just stop talking in mid-sentence or continue on until your finished communicating your complete thought?

When you cook and create food for someone, the same can be true.  You work thoughtfully, choosing each ingredient, balancing the flavors and then the person to whom it is served is so pre occupied that it you are unsure if they are even aware that they are eating.  Have they turned a deaf to the experience?  Does this mean that the dish does not agree with them?  Does this make you want to pull back your plate of deliciousness and deny them their unappreciated portion?

Sometimes you may interrupt to ask their opinion without reward, their response, “its fine”.  What to do?  Would you invite this person over again for a meal?
